Team Talk Tuesday

Compassionate, loving, supportive and encouraging are words that people have used to describe me and as your Community Facilitator, I am happy to share my thoughts with you. My name is Clarese Carter. I was born and raised in a close-knit neighbourhood in West Windsor where my mother raised us to give back to the community. At age 9, I began volunteering for various organizations throughout Windsor and Essex County. At 13, I started working at The Sandwich Teen Action Group (STAG) where I found my passion for non-profit organizations, working in the community, developing programs and working with youth.

My passion and purpose for providing the best support possible, led me to become a Child and Youth Worker. Being better equipped at positively impacting change in the lives of our youth and being able to better assist them with making healthy life choices, finding their strengths and achieving success has been very rewarding. Today I have two children who have both been my teachers, who give me the opportunity to do what I love and they encourage me to apply myself daily.

At Family Fuse I plan to apply my education and life experiences to assist parents, meet them where they are in their life journey and by coming up with efficient and effective solutions to help them reach their goals. My approach is one that is empowering, uplifting, strengthening, and provides intervention, upon request, to help parents succeed.

Volunteerism is something close to my heart, so I am recruiting and training student volunteers to serve in their specialty at Family Fuse. If you like coaching, assessing, collecting data, or being part of a grassroots group, I may have the opportunity you have been looking for.
