Team Talk Tuesday

My name is Boxi Chen, and as a Communications and Media intern, my main role at Family Fuse is to create, edit, and distribute advertisements and media content while also helping the organization in the Marketing department.

Outside of school and work, my favourite past times are relaxing and playing soccer with my friends, hiking with my dogs, and playing video games. My passion lies in becoming an expert in the field of marketing and media because of the importance of marketing in the success of a company. It is also important to understand media and how to control it, because most of our lives today are surrounded by media/technology 90% of the time! 

I chose Family Fuse because of its status of being a start-up organization. I felt that this was a great opportunity for me to learn the steps of growing an organization, how to gain acknowledgement in the community, and how to interact with potential clients. It is amazing that I can do all these things, as well as help support/grow an amazing cause! I am incredibly excited to help grow the name of Family Fuse and contribute to real change in the Windsor-Essex community! 

I am currently a fourth-year Communication, Media and Film student at the University of Windsor and this is my second undergraduate internship placement. My future goals are to work in a field that could further sharpen my communication skills and become a mentor to someone who shares the same passion as me.
