Kwanzaa is a holiday in celebration of community, family, culture, and was established as a means to help African Americans reconnect with their African roots and heritage. Be it in the United States or in Canada, Kwanzaa is a week-long experience created to help build a greater sense of unity. As our Family Fuse team continues to support Black Canadian parents, guardians, and caregivers, building a greater sense of unity is key. Creating belonging, providing a wrap-around approach to improving quality of life, empowering parents, with the support of our community partners, are only a few of the successful outcomes that we have and are creating together.
During our Kwanzaa celebration, Black families and allies are invited to enjoy two hours of games, enriching conversation, music, presentation, community building, and giveaways. It will be a time of sharing, compassion, understanding, and exploring the seven principles of Kwanzaa which are:
Unity
Self-determination
Collective work & responsibility
Cooperative Economics
Purpose
Creativity
Faith
Sign up today here so that we can celebrate together! We look forward to seeing you!!!!!!
