Bullying and Racism in Schools

Work It Wednesdays.jpg

Bullying in general is extremely damaging to a young person’s confidence and self-image. Combine bullying with racism in the education system/classroom and those struggles multiply tenfold. Bullying and racism go hand-in-hand in many cases, and dealing with these issues may lead to parents and children alike feeling helpless as they look for ways to navigate a complex and daunting education system.

First-hand, we saw the effects of bullying in our Black youth in the education system and how powerless it can make parents feel when they do not have the tools to effectively address it. This led us to create free workshops to help empower Black Canadian parents to take charge of their child’s school experience.
